TMMC’s Cambridge South Plant was recognized as the highest ranked plant in the world for initial quality in a tie with two other plants; one in the United States and the other in Japan. This year, 121 qualifying plants around the world were reviewed. This is TMMC’s first Platinum recognition.
Fin O’Neill, President, J.D. Power and Associates joined the award ceremony. During the presentation, Mr. O’Neill noted that, "The entire Cambridge facility, including both North and South lines, has received nine awards for manufacturing quality over time – more than any other Canadian plant in IQS history."

Now, you are the first Toyota plant outside of Japan to receive the Platinum Award." He went on to say, "Your strong teamwork and commitment to quality is well-known within Toyota. Now, it is known around the world."
TMMC President, Brian Krinock commented, "Customers do have a voice and that’s what makes this award so special. Our team members build each vehicle as they were making it for their own families. We will display this award with pride."
